  • I really like the concept of this place. I wouldn't say anything we got was bad, it just wasn't really my thing. I tend to drink black coffee - yes I am one of those. We came here to try their coffees since it's a Mexican coffee shop. We got a tres mexicanos and a cafe horchata. Both delivered tasting like their respective abuelitas chocolate and horchata but I can't say I got much of the coffee flavor it was essentially just abuelita's chocolate with milk and horchata that I tasted vs. a fusion of elements. We got it cold this time around with whip on top. I think it would be worth coming back to try some different stuff but this time around it was a-ok. Note that there is a huge parking lot to the west of the cafe but you're not allowed to park there. There is a small little driveway to what is basically a house that has been converted to the tres leches cafe. In the back of this cafe/house there is a small awkward parking lot. The parking lot does have back alley access although I didn't venture to see where it starts. Inside of the cafe there isn't much of an ambience it's super small and the AC isn't stellar. So you mix that with a rush of people trying to get their 3LC fix and it makes for a semi-chaotic and crammed experience. Seems like it'd do better to just convert the place to a more dutch bros style ordering system outside of the primary chill area. Maybe add some outside shading and misters to prevent death by sun. The two ladies were nice and doing their best but it seems like more staff would have helped push orders along. We waited for our order but we did notice about 4 people behind us walked out because the line was too long and there is no where to really stand to order. That doesn't seem great for business.
