  • "I love the smell of gun powder in the morning." When I come to Vegas, I don't come to gamble. The last time I was in Vegas it was to visit the Grand Canyon. This recent visit was to experience "Battlefield Vegas." If you're a gun enthusiast, a history buff, or just curious, you should make time to experience Battlefield. It will be one of those life time experiences. Battlefield Vegas has virtually every weapon used in WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, as well as current weapon being used. I chose their D-Day package which included the 1911, M1, and the Thompson machine gun. I also added the Browning Automatic Rifle. The one thing I noticed immediately was the power of the weapons and I'm prior military. The M-14 was my weapon back in the day. If you want to add to your once in lifetime experiences, put Battlefield Vegas on your "Bucket list." I'll be going back soon for another experience. On a side note, on the way back to the hotel, I couldn't help thinking about the men who carried those weapons into combat on D-Day. Truly the Greatest Generation.
