  • Happy St. Patrick's Day :-) I can't believe this was my first time coming to Matt's Big Breakfast!! "I'll be back" (in my best Arnold from Terminator voice) Wow what an amazing experience. Definitely worth the trip/journey if you'er not in the area. Don't let the wait time scare you, it's so worth it. We had to wait a half an hour to get seated, which wasn't too bad. The beautiful AZ weather made it a pleasant wait and it went by quick. We were seated at the bar which was quick and convenient, but the bar stools were not that comfortable. The food came out relatively quick for how packed the place was. I wanted either pancakes, french toast or a waffle. The waffle decision was made easily because the side of bacon it came with sealed the deal for me. The waffle was cooked to the perfect consistency and you could tell the batter was home made and not some Bisquik instant waffle. Very flavorful. The side of crisp peppered bacon was the perfect savory compliment to the sweet delicious waffle. I also sampled my buddy's pancakes, they were amazing, very tasty. Simple menu, but the food speaks for itself. I can't wait to come back and try something else ;-)
