  • I'd give a 0 STAR if I could. First time going in here since I don't do any gaming but was inquiring for the Nintendo console for my husband as I know he wanted one. Figured I'm at fairview mall and passing by a game store I might as well check it out. I approached one of their employees, a tall Caucasian guy with black rimmed glasses and some.blondish scruff on his face ... I nicely asked him "hi excuse me do you happen to carry anymore Nintendo mini game consoles?" And he answered me with a nasty "NO!" And literally walked away. I was standing there literally thinking to myself "wow this guy didn't have to be a complete Dick to me" ... horrible customer service the worst I have ever witnessed from an employee. Maybe he wasn't a employee but a grumpy nasty owner. But you don't treat your customers like that. I was going to buy other gaming items for my husband but because I was so badly turned off by his attitude and response and lack of customer service, It left me a bad taste and I just didn't feeling like giving them my service anymore. I'm a retail store owner myself and with tons of other competitors in my type of retail industry, I get it why my customers are returning customers. It's because we don't treat ANY of our customers like sh*t. I'm really tempted to take his lack of courtesy and attitude to head office but it really is not worth my precious time. But I do believe that writing my short review on Yelp will help other customers realize this. I will still shop at EB games but I'll take my business to Markville mall which is where I originally go anyway. I think it is important to teach all your customers equally. Whether it is a new customer or a big spender customer. Because any customer could be walking in and they could end up being a forever customer if you deliver the right service. The service that I received felt like he was just being a pure douche and by walking away after saying "no" was just rude. Didn't even have the courtesy to politely say "I'm sorry we ran out and we really have no idea when it will come back." At least then I wouldn't have felt horribly treated and I also wouldn't be writing this review either. I consider myself a fair person but I just had to voice my feeling out because this just wasn't right. I wasn't even finished asking all my questions.
