Sometimes I may be a bit indecisive and have a hard time making up my mind, but luckily the salesman here made up my mind for me. The decision the salesman made for me was to not use this dealer, ever! So thank you, you have talked yourself out of a sale and your dealership out of a customer.
I came here looking for a specific used motorcycle that the dealership had listed on their website. When I got there the motorcycle have been sold even though the website showed it was still listed. This is frustrating but unfortunately very common in the used motorcycle industry.
The problems started when I wanted to look at a new Honda Goldwing, not because I want one but because it's been redesigned and I haven't seen one in person. I guess my mistake was looking at it and having the dealer see me looking at it. From the start that's the only thing he wanted to talk to me about although I told him at the beginning that I wasn't interested, I was just interested in seeing a new model. The conversation quickly went directly to the new DCT transmission which I am not interested in what so ever. However, the dealer says that's what everybody says and everybody was wrong. Once they try it that's all they want. Well guess what dude I'm not everybody. I still drive a manual transmission in my vehicle. He went on to tell me that even though I claim to not be interested that's what I really wanted and that's the only one I should buy, but when I do buy it I'll have to wait months because they're so far backordered. I guess he was hard of hearing too because when I told him no that does not interest me he continued to push for that and then he started showing me all the bikes that have the DCT transmission.
When I told him why I was there, for a used motorcycle which wasn't a Honda, he immediately insulted my choice of motorcycle and went on to tell me that every other motorcycle in the world is so much better than that particular brand.
Well I'm glad you think so buddy because your opinion cost you the sale and it cost your dealership a customer.
