  • Absolute crooks.... I realize the job of a car dealership is to milk people for every possible dime on their car purchase but they shouldn't hide costs and refuse to show a potential customers their paperwork when they're making such a large purchase. I've purchased 9 different car from dealerships throughout my life and this was, by far, the worst experience I've encountered. They did all the typical car dealership sales techniques such as taking my key to appraise the car (then conveniently not being able to find it when I asked for it), going into the back room to ask their manager questions (just to stand around to make me wait thus increase my time investment) and, most infuriatingly, fudging the numbers on my loan terms to add money to their pocket. Watch out for their worst scam of allowing you to not have payment for 90 days. They gave me that option but never explained why the 90 day wait period increased my loan amount by $30 a month. While I'm aware I was responsible for the interest during this time, the $30 increase spread out over 7 years added over $2500 to my car loan. When I confronted them on this, they offered a 30 day waiting period instead which adds $17 a month to the loan thus increasing the overall payment by over $1500. I tried to get the sales associate to explain all this but he seemed rather clueless to the whole process and then refused to let me keep my paperwork. I asked for his manager and I was directed to Steve in the backroom who was extremely rude and refused to answer any of my questions as well as give me any of my paperwork. All he kept saying was that he would only show me my payment amount which he wrote on a ripped off sheet of paper. I kept asking to see the terms of the loan and he kept refusing and told me he was then pulling the offer. Honestly, I would feel like maybe it was just an isolate incident but, at the same time, a woman left the dealership crying about how she was treated as well. I definitely recommend avoiding this dealership. I have had great dealings with their service department in the past but Steve in sales made me realize that, if he manages with an attitude like that, one is better off going to any of the other dealers in town. I had a good experience with the Dodge dealership in Peoria so I will be heading their next week knowing that they are much better at serving their customers.
