  • Wow, they should have waited to open until they were ready! Very poor, anticlimactic grand opening. Don't go now and waste your money, wait a few months until they are truly ready to open. What did I like? Of course the fish and different marine species. It's great to finally have an aquarium of this magnitude here in our home town. Honestly, not much more to like...right now. What did I disliked? I was there the first day and my first sentence says it all, they opened way too soon and they weren't even ready! During my visit, the elevators were down and so were the escalators...don't you test these before opening? I don't mind using the stairs, but I felt bad for people who had wheelchairs and strollers! Luckily the elevators were working every now and then. Some of the exhibits did not have fish in them yet. A small portion of the ones that did have fish, the tanks were cloudy which made the exhibit look poor and unprepared. To make matters worst, there is not a single helpful sign in the entire place! Only a handful of exhibits had signs or a television telling about that particular exhibit, 90% of them did not. I don't know every type of marine life or cool facts about them. How am I supposed to explain to my kids what they are looking at? The place was fairly warm in places, I think they need to work on their air conditioning issues, specially in the rotunda. I'll tell you what, if you're looking for an "Exit" sign, you can't miss them. They are all over the place, but most of them aren't actually by a door so it doesn't make any sense! Came here for a great experience, not worth the price in my book! What am I looking forward to? I will give them another shot, several months from now and see if things have changed. I hope the tanks looks better, they have signage, air conditioning and maybe they will open the Seatrek underwater area. Which by the way is $99 a person and was closed on opening day...this was a key feature for the aquarium and it was closed! I hope the owner is reading all the negative reviews and makes a quick change or this place will not make it. Right now, it's not worth your hard earned money.
