I believe that I have found the country's best cold sandwich. The "Il Purista" is stuffed with thin-cut prosciutto, thick-cut fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers & enough basil leaves to make a large pizza. The balsamic vinegar & extra virgin olive oil complete the beauty that is served on your choice of bread. Since I'm keeping with the purist theme, I opted for the traditional Italian sub roll.
This place is oh so much more than just a phenomenal sandwich joint, it is a full-on Italian grocery & butcher shop/delicatessen. Indoor seating can be a little scarce during busy times but there is something special about sitting next to racks of cannoli shells & lady fingers.
