| - When I searched the Tesla website for recommended and certified technicians for the job, there were 3 companies listed. Adamik didn't have any reviews on yelp at the time, so I contacted the 2 other companies with good yelp reviews. One company told me that their minimum for any charger started at $700 no matter how easy the job was. That was a little discouraging to me. The other company told me they would come out for a quote and after 4 weeks it never happened, due to the claims that they were shorthanded. Luckily, I had moved to a new house where there was a 240V for RV parking and had a temporary place for charging, but I wanted the fast-charging wall connector installed in my garage for future convenience.
I called Adamik and Peter came out to do an inspection. I had a sub-panel next to the location I wanted the wall connector installed and figured it should be a fairly easy job for them location-wise. Initially, he had some load concerns when he was doing his load calculations since I wanted 100 amps dedicated to the wall connector. He had done his calculations based off of the load on the main panel and the sub panel combined and thought that 100 amps would be too much. After discussing with his superior, he re-calculated based off of the sub panel alone in which there was still plenty of power to be distributed.
Long story short, Peter had very good communication, and was able to come up with a very reasonable quote that included a permit ($425). His staff was very quick to schedule an installation appointment as well as the city inspection upon completion which also went very smoothly.
I wouldn't hesitate to call Adamik again. They were very professional, and very reasonably priced. I know of others that have had Tesla chargers installed for more, and those were not completed by a licensed electrician and did not include the price for a permit! Get it done the right way, call Adamik!
