  • I have dealt with many mortgage companies: Countywide, Bank of America, Pinnacle, etc, but I have never encountered ANYTHING like this. I should have known that this would be a disaster when I got the October 1st AND November 1st billing statements both on October 3rd. The real kicker is below: A portion of my property is being taken by the Tennessee Department of Transportation as part of a road expansion project. We have been sending and RE-sending the documents to Roundpoint Mortgage since August 25th. The closing agent and I have repeatedly called over and over and SOMEHOW the documents just keep getting lost over and over again. Escalations requests not documented, notes lost, calls lost, it's just INSANE. Most mortgage companies tend to have this handled after roughly a month and a half to two months, so far I can't even get confirmation that THEY GOT THE DOCUMENTS! The closing agent from TDOT informed me that the last time they had to deal with this company, they never were able to get the company to respond and had to take them to court. I'm considering driving to their office in NC and delivering my documents in person, but I'll bet they'll somehow lose that too. (Update 12/6/2017): Reaching out via Yelp contact was the most success I have had with this company. Their social media manager (Omar) was very prompt in contacting me via both phone and e-mail the next business day and confirming both that the case was assigned and documents received. If every single other part of this process wasn't a grueling disaster I would bump this up to 2 stars based on his effort alone. At this point we are still waiting on this process while a year's salary sits in limbo.
