Took vehicle to Ford dealership due to "engine light on"... was told $1800 for a cracked manifold. Went to Good Works for a second opinion(saw good reviews online)... the owner came out to my vehicle for a few minutes and jumped into the engine and started feeling around.... told me it might just be a hose. I asked for the worse case price... was told about $1300.... I dropped it off a few days later.... it turned out to be a hose.. total $150!!!! They asked me about 2 other pieces that needed to be replaced(which i had been told before from Ford that they needed to be replaced), ..so i replaced them for a total bill of $750...
Don't know if Ford would have told me it was just a hose or not, but what sold me was the fact that someone walked out to my car to look at it at Good Works.... Ford had it IN the shop for an oil change, hooked it up to the ALL KNOWING COMPUTER, but couldnt look at it with their own eyes...otherwise, i might have let Ford fix it.
2 weeks later... everything is fine. I am happy with the overall service and WILL go back as long as they stay honest with me.
