Since the first day Portofino has opened its doors, I got to eat there 3 times. First 2 times I went by myself. It went pretty smooth, good food and training staff, no problem. On my last visit on this past Sunday I took my wife, my son and my friend whose visiting out of town to here. My wife has celiac. She called ahead to make sure that they serve something gluten free.
She got the gluten free bolognese pasta. We triple asked the servers to make sure it's gluten free. They all said yes. I tasted the GF pasta which tasted just like regular pasta but staff said it's GF. So she ate it.
She's been having stomach cramps and all her system is screwed up now. What she ate wasn't GF, they served regular penne pasta to her.
Even though my experience was decent this visit ruined it for us.
