| - Would give zero stars if I could -- absolute worst moving experience. Could not have gone worse.
On May 31st, we moved from Sedona, Arizona to Medfield, Massachusetts - when our movers arrived in Medfield at approximately 6:45pm on June 9th, 2016, they came in to tell us that almost everything was extremely damaged and broken. They assured us that it was like that when it came into their care several hours ago and had taken videos upon their procurement of the items to prove as such.
We are extremely unhappy and disappointed by our move. Boxes were opened, clothing strewn about the truck, furniture broken, etc.
If this were not enough, we were mislead on the day of pickup as well. Several days before the move, we were told the movers would arrive to us in Sedona on 5/31 between 8-10am. The day before, that was revised to 10-11am. At 11:15am on the day of the move, we called and were told it would be closer to 1-2pm. At 2:30pm, they assured us they would arrive by 3pm. The movers finally arrived at 3:30pm - a full 5 and a half hours later than the estimate given to us the day before. We understand that these things are complicated and you cannot always accurately predict the timing but we had to be the ones to keep calling you - we only received a call when the movers actually arrived at 3:30pm. Again, this alone would be not a big deal but the entire experience of this, coupled with our items arriving almost entirely damaged is just too much. 1
According to our movers, ABF received our items three days ago an they have been sitting in a lot waiting for us to call before they were moved. I called All My Sons on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week to check in about the status of our truckload. No one seemed to have any knowledge of this.
After many hours of work compiling a claim (that needed to be OFFICIALLY NOTARIZED - ridiculous) we were offered a mere $150 for the other $2,000 worth of damage to our goods and materials. After spending over $4,000 on a cross country move, the added cost of $2,000 to replace so many of our materials is simply ridiculous.
Could not reccomend less favorably. Please feel free to get in touch if you would like more details about our disastrous move - would love to help anyone avoid the same extremely costly and stressful experience - sarahelizabethdangelo@gmail.com
