  • I have been going to Madison Avenue since 2003. I had a good haircut then found Kim and had a great haircut. Unfortunately, Pearl left who was the best eyebrow anesthetician ever. I live out of town and would drive or even fly into Phoenix to get my hair done. I am in the medical field and my schedule is changing. Even though I saw the extras go away like the short scalp and neck rub they used to do go away. I was able to get a fabulous hair cut that no one else could do. I do not need any style. Just cut and go. Now my hair has some white in it so I get color at times. I could never get in the same weekend even for a snip & go. I found out Kim only works three days and she double books. The only way to see her is to drive back to Phoenix after working and staying four nights. I resign myself I have to call in advance. Her prices have jumped while people (of the real world) wages have stayed the same. The last three times I might as well not bothered to come.b She doesn't do my hair the way she did last year. I have extremely thick curly hair. When done right it is gorgeous. When cut on a wave or not texturized it looks so messy for the office. Perhaps I don't tip enough. My cut was square around my face one time. The last cut was frizzy and heavy as soon as I washed I looked ungroomed without any texturizng. One time in frustration I booked with another stylist. Kim called and asked didn't want her? I changed the appointment. Right after I realised my mistake. So I drove over in person and said I had a three hour paid seminar. Thr cut was for my first day at work. I asked of someone else could do the color and she do the cut and was told no. Now the appointment with Chelsea was taken. I rebooked in advance came in and Kim did not texturize my hair. One after shampooing it was fly away and not the curls. I was in town and begged if she could take 10 minutes and correct it. She refused. Kim has continued to cut her hours and try to cram her clients in less days in order to make the same money. She is not respectful anymore and refers to me as hon and sweetheart. I am a long term client of coming up on 13 years. I am older than her, a professional and I deserve some respect. It is frustrating that these stylists can barely work, give shoddy service AND they expect you to fit their schedule. To add insult to injury is the climbing prices.
