  • I wish I had looked at the one star ratings before I bothered to go here. I am a 69 year old woman who brought her car here for the first time to have an emmissions test. I made an appointment and arrived at 9:30 am. I parked in the designated electric charging station next to the front door because, aside from the handicap spot, the parking lot was totally full. There was no one charging or waiting to charge their car. I intended to go into the office and give them the the key to move the car into the garage. As I said, this was the first time I had been to the business. I was getting my purse out of the car when a young man came out the door and asked me if my Volvo was an electric car. I said no and before I was allowed to explain, the gentleman told me the spot was reserved for electric cars and I could not park there. I am trying to be fair in this narrative. so I will simply say that I felt he was unnecessarily rude and aggressive. I told him I did not intend to leave the car there and was just dropping it off. I went in and found, unhappily, that he was the person with whom I had to deal inside. He did apologize, sort of. The phrasing was something to the effect that 'I apologize and that is all I can do for you. You are not suppose to park there and should have gone to an open spot.' When I explained there was no where else to park, he said I was wrong. But when asked him to show me an open parking spot in which I could park he declined. As this business is convenient to our house, I really wanted to have the testing and work done here. He then asked me if I was a new customer. This is perhaps where I went wrong, because I answered that I was, but was wondering if maybe I should go somewhere else. In response to this, the young man handed me my key and said perhaps that would be better. I have to admit, I was shocked. I didn't realize customers were so easy to come by. I asked to talk to Ryan, with whom I had made the appointment the day before. Ryan tried to be helpful, but the situation deteriorated further and I left. We are new to Pittsburgh and perhaps this is just the way business is done here. Or perhaps it was just a one off for the man with whom I dealt. But given the other 1 star rating I wonder. In any event, I would not advise others to risk the hassle if you have other options.
