The fishing areas and campgrounds are great here, but I love to hike and this is not a very good park to do it in unless you are looking for some very rough terrain. All the hiking trails are "rugged" which is a nice way of saying they are not taken care of. They are overgrown, and poorly marked. The last time I went I put on plenty of bug repellent and was still attacked by insects and came home with a tick on my leg. This was due to the fact I was walking through brush and branches most of the time. I also would not suggest their mountain biking trails unless you are an expert. They are also overrun with growth.
