I find very few places in Pittsburgh in regards to fish and seafood as good as Monterrey Bay. Mitchell's is good, buts lacks the ambiance.
First, how fresh can it be having to be flown from all over the globe to get here? Which leads me to the Crab cakes. This has to be all crab, I see no filler whatsoever. And it tastes like it's right out of the ocean. Pricey, but let's be honest, how can you put a price on the delicate, flakey jumbo lump crab cakes?
The view is second to none. The wine list is superb, the service is wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to bring even the staunchest seafood snob to Monterrey Bay.
