It was finally time to wash the comforter. Did a quick search and found this place, which isn't far from my place. It's in the same shopping complex and Kopper Keg and Arby's.
It's a decent sized place with plenty of regular sized washers, maybe a dozen over-sized washers, and a wall lined with dryers. The large washers in the back cost $4.00 for one load. The dryers cost $0.25 per 6 min. It took about 72 minutes to dry my comforter. It came out looking and smelling clean so I don't have any complaints.
There aren't a whole lot of places to sit. Close to the front door there was a bench and two plastic chairs. There were also two other plastic chairs outside. They did have plenty of magazines to read and a small TV. The lady working there was in charge of the remote -- first The Price Is Right, then Rachel Ray, then some other talk show. It would have been nice if they had wifi.
I got there early on a weekday -- around 9:30 -- and it was just about empty. By the time I left around noon it was packed. All of the large washers were in use by then and almost all of the dryers were being used. I'd hate to come here on a weekend.
