  • While the location seems ideal being close to downtown and yet on the strip, it actually became a HIKE. (And I live in Chicago and walk everywhere. This was just a long and tedious and boring walk to take to anything resembling action.) The rooms were in terrible shape, and on the whole the place was depressing. The casino was kind of a fun place to end the night. And it was CHEAP. One star for each. But the next time I came to Vegas I stayed at Paris, and would pay to do so again. No more Sahara for me. Prediction: It's plowed in 5 years or less.
