  • My review is regarding the front desk staff and Dr. Balduini. The young ladies that rule the front desk are inefficient and lazy. I suppose when you work for someone who has a certain amount of fame you inherit an attitude. Many of the patients who visit this office are elderly and have a physical handicap of one sort or another and instead of these young women coming to the patient in the waiting room, they call out the name until you hear them and you are made to walk back to the front desk. i should mention that the front desk and the waiting room are several steps apart. They botched up my last appointment. I arrived on the designated day and was told my appointment was the following week. It was 8am and the waiting room was almost empty. Rather than argue about the date I asked if Dr. Balduini would see me given that I was already there. He actually refused and said I had to come back the following week. I left, got home and checked my appointment card and sure enough, my appointment was for that day. The front desk had put my appointment on the wrong week. I simply called back and cancelled the appointment. Interestingly enough, my right knee erupted over the holiday this year. My knee was incredibly swollen, the pain was 10+ and I could barely walk. Being desperate, I called to see if I could come in. I was told that Dr. Balduini was on vacation so I asked if I could see Dr. Crovetti. The voice at the front desk said he was totally booked and refused to ask him if he would see me. She said I should go to the emergency room. That works when you have the flu or a broken bone but not with this problem. As a patient, I don't like being treated this way. Why do these young ladies at the front desk have so much power over the patient. Do the doctors have any idea what goes on at the front desk. I don't know if they encourage this behavior or if they are simply oblivious to the problem. There are solutions to most things in life and this experience has encouraged me to go out and find a new doctor who is accessible and treats his patients with dignity. Bottom line is that I need knee replacement surgery and it will not be done at Crovetti Orthopaedics. I'm never going back. Would you?
