  • Fast Lap Indoor Kart Racing earns a solid 3 stars from me based off the entire experience as a whole. My family was visiting from Minnesota this past weekend and my little brothers were looking to do some go-kart racing. I searched Groupon for some good deals and ran across Fast Lap. Now I have been to other places before but wanted to try something different. I sent my step mom the link to purchase the groupon and when we arrived at the front we were left standing for maybe 5-10 minutes or so with nobody at the front. Finally a young girl comes from the back to welcome us and ask if any riders over 18 were present. After replying "Yes" there was a consent form that had to be filled out. After all that was completed it came down to this Groupon ordeal. My stepmother was unable to print these vouchers out because the hotel's business center was closed. After struggling with this for some time we weren't offered any type of solutions and or alternatives. The young lady working was more concerned with talking with another employee about the order from Raising Canes Chicken and replying to messages on her Snapchat. I get it that every business has it's protocol when it comes to how they are able to redeem these certificates from Groupon however the nonchalant attitude we could've done without. After sometime we again asked if there was anything we could do with just the e-mail confirmation and again told no but she would check with the owner. The dilemma was that the Groupon certificate wasn't loading and the app wasn't recognizing the purchase. Finally we were able to get the coupon loaded and that bar code populated. The point is that while we were struggling with this and yes this may have been our fault it was the customer service aspect and just not showing any kind of interest on whether or not we got this code. Left me wondering if this type of behavior as a front desk representative or whatever they title the girls here at the front was okay... Once you pass the hurdles and paperwork in the front you are then lead to a room in the back where you need to watch a safety video prior to riding. After watching you head into the actual garage to gear up and get more instructions. Assigned your go-kart and head out on the track for your laps! The go-karts themselves were a blast to drive and really good on speed! I made it the entire 2 rounds without any crashes! yay me! Overall we had fun and hope to maybe come back soon.
