  • I was all set to leave a glowing review of this dealership. It was the easiest transaction I had ever had, or so I thought. And overall, the dealership was great. It is Vicki in financing that needs to tender her resignation. On Friday, we actually bought a 2014 Durango through one of the Chrysler reps (which is conveniently next door) while we were in getting our "wonderful" CVT transmission fixed in our 2013 Patriot (that is an entirely different review). We found the perfect vehicle, it was amazing, but was out of our price range. Willie, from the Chrysler dealership, was fantastic, he went out of his way to find a vehicle that was almost identical, with all the same upgrades, but was approximately $10,000 less. It was fantastic. We went in to finance, jumped through hoops to get them all the information they needed, went back to my father-in-laws house with our new vehicle. The dealership was well aware that we live in California and would be returning the next morning. We got a phone call a few hours later saying that the bank had actually approved our loan at a lower rate than what we had signed for, and if we could please come in first thing to next morning to sign new paperwork. And so we did. We showed up first thing, sat down with the director of finance, signed new paperwork, he wished us safe travels, and we returned to California. Yesterday, I received not one, not two, but eight separate phone calls from Vicki, all within the span of two hours while I was at work. This included two voicemails, and several voicemails left for my fiancée. Each one got ruder and ruder because apparently she does not understand the concept of working and not being available to talk on the phone, or the purpose of a voicemail. When my fiancée got home from work and called her back, she told him that they had forgotten to collect the down payment and she needed our credit card information. He informed her that he is not going to give credit card information over the phone, where there is absolutely nothing to verify she is not writing it down and saving it. He told her we could put a check in the mail the next morning and they would have it in a day or two, when they got the spare key for the Patriot we had traded. She told him that was not acceptable, not good enough, and we were going to ruin our credit because the bank was denying our loan because we didn't make the down payment to the dealership. Now, anyone who has dealt with a bank can tell you the same thing, they do not care at all about your payments to other people, only what you are financing. She said that the bank was changing the contract and denying our loan and our vehicle would be repossessed if we did not give her our credit card information. She was told, yet again, that her mistake is not our problem and they will receive a check in the next couple days. After speaking with the lending bank this morning, they have confirmed exactly what we expected, Vicki is a voracious liar and there is no such denial of the loan or anything of the sort. The only contract change would have to be sent from the dealership, and even then, it would be a request to amend the loan, and would not result in a denial of the one we are already approved for. They said it was feasible she was trying to change the contract to add on the down payment, but that would need our signature before the bank could change the loan. Basically, they told us she was lying and threatening our credit because she made a mistake. So, now we are making attempts to get a hold of the GM of the dealership, to no avail because apparently every time we call at whatever hour, he is never there. There is no part of me that appreciates being lied to. I am very sorry that you made a mistake and failed to do your job properly, but the fact that I am even willing to mail a check at this point is more than a lot of people. However, threatening my credit and telling me that my vehicle will be repossessed over a loan that was never in jeopardy, that is just poor business practices and makes you look incompetent. We had planned on heading back there in a few months to trade in our older truck for a Ram Eco Diesel. Well, I have had it with the "wonderful" service that is Chrysler brand products. Congratulations, you have lost a customer, who had up until now, never purchased anything except for Jeep and Dodge products.
