| - The Stone Oven has easily become one of my go-to places for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even just a dessert. Their sandwiches and salads have all been good, and their soup is always flavorful and fresh. Their soups seem to change daily, with always two options (one usually vegetarian and one meat-based) available. Their baked goods are exceptional, especially their tea biscuits. Gosh, if you haven't had a Stone Oven tea biscuit (poppyseed, raspberry, or apricot are your choices), you definitely need to give them a try! I've also taken a few of their loaves home and each one has been fantastic. Keep in mind, though, that they are void of preservatives, so should be enjoyed within a few days; otherwise, they can easily be stored in the freezer for later use.
The service is always friendly and usually well-staffed, especially on the weekends when the lines can get a bit long at lunch. There is plenty of seating, even for larger groups, so it is usually not difficult to find a seat to enjoy a cup of coffee, lunch, or sweet treat. There's also free wi-fi and plenty of parking in the back lot if you plan to stay awhile and study.
The atmosphere is casual and friendly. Truly, The Stone Oven is one of the gem bakeries in Cleveland!
