  • Wow. Dr Mishra is fabulous. Too bad the office is like a circus run by a bunch of clowns. I simply cannot tolerate the rude and inconsiderate staff. I honestly cannot remember ever having such a frustrating experience in a medical setting. Firstly, I was contacted and told that my daughter's scheduled appointment, to review the results for her blood work, needed to be rescheduled. In the message left, I was advised that the next available appointment would be 2 months out. What? This is an endocrinologist office. We are there because we have a medical concern. We already had to wait 2 months for our initial appointment as it was. What kind of medical practice would operate in this manner? Then, two days after that message was left, I received another voice mail confirming my daughter's oringally scheduled appointment. Quite confusing, really. With that, I then called the office and waited 20 minutes on the phone, where I was then told the appointment is in fact on the day and time, as originally scheduled. Hmmm. And I was spoken to as if I was an idiot. Needless to say, my daughter and I arrived at the appointment as scheduled and were seen by Dr. Mishra, who is incredibly professional, well spoken, thorough and considerate. She is truly brilliant and was such a pleasure. Checking out was another experience all together. The MA was neither kind nor helpful. The MA was asked by the doctor to send in prescriptions to our pharmacy. She asked which pharmacy we use. My daughter told her we use the Walgreens across the street. Rudely, the MA asked my daughter if she even knew the zip to the pharmacy. Give me a break. The pharmacy is across the street. The zip is the same as that office. And honestly, being a medical office, who writes prescriptions for most of their patients, do they not have any other patients who use the pharmacy across the street? That was a bit odd. After that, we went over to the scheduler, who was also terribly rude and rather indignant about a matter of scheduling a blood work appointment and a doctor's appointment. She was so disrespectful and dismissive, then matter of factly disagreeing with me about information that the doctor 2 minutes prior to that had advised me of for our next appointment. I can't imagine that the doctor told me one thing of significance, then changed her mind and didn't bother to tell me about this, nor have her MA tell me. My daughter and I were escorted by the doctor to the MA's desk. We saw the doctor hand over the paper work and then walk away. We saw no other communication between the doctor and the office staff. One minute later a scheduler is indignantly telling me that I don't know what I am talking about. Unacceptable. I am the paying customer in a medical setting. A professional person would have clarified this discrepancy for me by consulting the doctor, so that I felt confident about the change in directions. Instead, the scheduler wanted me to take her word for it and was not the least bit kind or considerate about my apprehension on the matter. Lastly, when I asked for a copy of the blood work results, the scheduler sent me back to the MA. We walked back through the office, over to the MA, only to then be told no, the scheduler can give them to us. So, we then walk back through the office again to the scheduler's desk, who then openly acts irritated that she needs to print these for us. I am a mother with three children. I am in medical offices all the time for various appointments. Never in a doctor's office, have I felt so disregarded and been treated so disrespectfully. Almost livid with this treatment, I decided right then that I need not bother to schedule the three month follow up, because I have no intention of continuing to give my business to an establishment with such horrible staff. Sad really, because my daughter and I both enjoyed Dr. Mishra's professionalism and found her to be truly knowledgable on the subject matter.
