  • This is by far the best sushi restaurant in the Annex. It costs slightly more but the difference is marginal. The sushi is equivalent to Japango but costs less, and in my opinion, Japango is/was the best sushi in Toronto. Now I would say they have some stiff competition. (update to this section. I talked to the waiter at Sushi Couture who I recognized from Japango. It turns out that he and one of the chefs from Japango came over to work here. That explains everything! Taste buds don't lie ;) I saw the other reviews about slow service. I think they're still trying to iron out the kinks of being a new restaurant, as the service was a little slow, but certainly not terrible. Very kind people work there and I can tell they're trying their best. The restaurant itself is very nice, with a classy upscale vibe, which helps to separate it from the other sushi restaurants in the area that have average decor. If you're looking for great sushi, I highly recommend coming here.
