rev:text	I came here on 5/15 after visiting other tattoo places both on and off the strip during my week vacation to Las Vegas...Madd House was the last place I had visited...I was sort of tired since I was walking most of the day...I was super nervous walking up because I wasn't sure how long the studio was open...however I got over that and met the lady in the front Tara...It was around 7pm I don't think any customers were there but I did talk to Tara and I showed her my design and asked a few simple questions about pricing and when there was an open availability should I want to make an appointment. Here's where my review begins I guess haha. Out of all the other places I had visited this place was the ONLY one where someone stood up, shook my hand and introduced themselves to me and actually answered my questions in a way that didn't make me feel like I was wasting their time...also Shadow the tattoo artist(and owner) came out to meet me he liked my tattoo design that I wanted to do which was a Michael Jackson logo (the "panther" logo) which is an "M" and "J" merged together in a pretty creative way...after getting the estimated price for my tattoo(50$ less than other places I visited) and the feeling like someone showed some interest in my questions and my tattoo design I felt comfortable in making an appointment 24hrs later. I was officially here for my tattoo 5/16 at 7pm. Tara was happy I showed up on time and greeted me...I'm like wow she remembers me(even though we only met 24hrs ago I thought it was nice) There was another customer who was there getting her previous tats fixed up from another artist whom was not a Madd House employee...so I didn't get my tat started for about an hour and a half or so which didn't really bother me too much because I knew these things took time...plus the girl literally was jumping up and down in excitement when everything was done... During my wait I talked to a few people and employees there who seemed to know each other for a while...there was some painting going on to make the studio look nice...it was nice to see such care being put into the shop. Also I got some time to settle my nerves(I'm a nervous person!) plus this was my first tat! I had wanted to get this tat for some time probably since high school...so I guess it was all coming full circle. Once my design was printed out and sized it was time to get started! Shadow seemed to be relaxed and not tired at all which I was pleasantly surprised and relived to see...I was so nervous! I know I mentioned that already but still! My hands were sweaty and my arm a little too...I'm thinking to myself "great I'm going to get a tattoo and my arms are gunna stink..." haha When my tattoo was just starting, yes it hurt but it wasn't this torture experience that a lot of people had made it out to be...the only parts that were super painful were when he had to stay in the same spot for a while I was like AHHHH!! OWWW!! but I just closed my eyes and kind of laughed it off... Me and Shadow did have a chat about my life back here in California, why I was in Vegas and why I was getting this tattoo it helped me not focus on the pain so much so that was good...almost like a tattoo/counseling session haha. The staff seemed to like how my tattoo was coming along...I tried not to look so I'd be surprised at the end...what was sort of fun and maybe a little different was towards the end of my session the only light that was on was one used to illuminate my arm because the lights were accidentally turned off but he was like I like it better that way so we left them off haha Once I saw a few pictures were being taken I knew it must've been done...my arm was stinging but again I was not in any agony...I took a look in the mirror and I was stunned for a second...I was happy I was shocked that it came out exactly as I wanted (which meant that it looked like it was printed from the computer screen to my arm) I was asked if I liked it and I just had to smile and I didn't really have words so that was pretty much my answer. I was also shocked because I'm like " whoa I really have a tat...me! I actually have one!" and being the Michael Jackson super fan that I obviously am I was really happy with the finished product...and it was a good time for the tat since "Xscape" the "new" MJ album was released a few days before I got my tat. I didn't notice it but I guess I was bleeding a little but when I was getting wrapped up...then it bacame a lot of bleeding which I was embarrassed by since I had to get rewrapped but Tara took care of me I thanked everyone and got my after care instructions and was on my way back to my hotel with my new tat. I rested for a while and went out to the strip for a late dinner and to pick up my aquaphor. I ended up going to Walgreens after getting my food and got my first compliment on my tattoo. I was like yeah I just got this done about three hours ago at Madd House Tattoos! THANK YOU EVERYBODY! -Eddie
