Portlands can practically be touched from the light rail and that is why I always end up there. Last night I actually had dinner there, but I have been a couple times just for drinks. Every time I've been, I have left happy and full. But it is just a three star, as many other people have noted.
Happy hour from 5-7 is fairly decent . Last night I was enjoying their well vodka (Svedka) for a decent price. They had a couple beers on special but nothing that I was interested in. Fries and rock shrimp are on special for $5 during this time. The fries are really where it is at. I've had both the Cajun and the Parmesan and the Parmesan are totally the way to go.
I shared a Caesar salad and the white pizza with my friend and we were happy with both. My taste buds weren't dancing, but they also weren't complaining.
Our server was kind enough, although we had to ask for our waters to be refilled a little too often for my taste.
I'm sure I'll be back to Portland's many more times, but mostly because of its proximity to the light rail.
