  • this review is for the service and mainly the lasagna. we've been here before months ago on a sunday right before a volleyball tourney to carb up. the sunday platter special is ON POINT. the portions are huge. you're likely going to take some home. the gnocchi was so good and so was the lasagna. recently, we came and asked our server if gnocchi was available, and he said he would check with the kitchen, and also offered a creamy sauce with it similar to carbonara. so we said yes, and also ordered a lasagna. the bussers dropped off cabornara pasta, which all of us remembers never ordering, and we looked at eachother thinking this is not gnocchi. so there goes one seeminlgy petty but disappointing as a simple request where our server did not follow up with us on the gnocchi. if we wanted carbornara, we would've ordered it. the lasagna, however, was so salty, we could'n't enjoy it. it overpowered the cheese. so when our server FRANK, returned to ask us how everything was, i mentioned genuinly how salty the lasagna was, and with no sympathy, he resonded with, "we don't add salt." well, i've made lasagna before, and obviously most people know the saltiness comes from the sausage/meat and not added salt. but if he was a good listener, he would have picked up that it was more "salty" than usual in terms of my palette. then my dad tried to make light of the situation and made a joke saying, "maybe the salt was on sale" and the server just had no sense of humor. it was awful. and so was the lasagna. this is a place we thought we would enjoy, but definately a true disappointment. there are other italian hot spots for less and just as enjoyable with respectable servers.
