Some stucco had fallen off my house and I noticed bees coming and going thru a small hole. Looked on the web and looked at the reviews ratings for a company to come out and solve the problem. The Beekeeper Total Bee Control has excellent reviews here on Yelp and 18 positive reviews at the Better Business Bureau (A+ rating).
Made an appointment for 11 to 12 and Nick was able to show up early at 10:30. I recognized Nick from us being in local homebrew clubs in the valley. When I made the appointment I asked the cost to kill the bees. Quoted $165.
Nick was friendly and explained the process. He put on his beekeeper outfit, got his ladders and poison to kill the bees. After the treatment he informed me that the nest had been their several months. Recommended it be removed. Said he would need to remove several roof tiles then cut a hole to get the hive out. This was quoted as $250.00 to remove and $250 to repair if I used their repair guy . I told Nick to do the removal. He informed me that after the hive was removed to leave the hole open and the bees would realize the honeycomb hive was gone and go else where. He also said that since poison was sprayed the bees would not go into the hole. Also said there was a three year guarantee. Glad I had Nick remove the hive. I watched him from far away and realized I had a real major infestation.
Cost for today was $165 to kill the bees and $250 for the removal. I liked there was no gimmicks or bait and switch. I was able to break the payment into several payments which helps out.
I would highly recommend this company.
