Worst experience ever! My husband is scheduled for surgery tomorrow. If you can believe it, we were told 3 days ago that he needs pre-op work done (EKG and blood work). And! That we will owe $1800 up front.... even though we've been asking for information for at LEAST 2 weeks now. We are not even sure if he'll be accepted for surgery due to the fact that the blood work, etc. was completed last minute. We are so very frustrated and upset. You would think that they would care enough to return a call and ensure you were at ease, and all of your questions were answered. pLUs that all of the procedures required were understood and completed in a timely manner. If it wasn't for the surgery center, we'd still be clueless. The scheduler obviously need a new line of work, or some people skills. Understaffed? Hire more people! If it wasn't for the reputation of the dr. Involved, and the referring dr., we would NOT be going HERE. I guess you need to be a celebrity or sports star for them to actually give a crap. Thanks for the stress TOCA.... "NOT"!!!
