  • I was looking for a doctor close to my home and within my insurance premium. I called Gaffney Heath Services and made an appointment with Dr. Dietrich Stewart. We scheduled meeting at 7pm on a Wednesday. One of the reasons I chose this location was because they offered late appointments and that worked with my work schedule. The nurse took my insurance and scheduled my appointment two weeks from then. Well, they say if it seems too good to be true...it probably is. Never hearing a reminder or confirmation, I called that Wednesday to confirm my appointment for later that day. When I called and said my appointment, the receptionist was extremely rude and said that there was a doctor that had that name at that location. I apologized and hung up. I called again using the number on my insurance website, and spoke to the same woman. Again I asked her "can you please look up my name instead of the doctor". She told me to stop calling that number and I was wrong. I googled the place and call the third time. I said to the woman "please can you look up my name and see if I have an appointment for 7 o'clock?" She finally did and what a surprise she saw my name and the appointment. She confirmed my appointment and told me to be there 10 minutes before to confirm insurance again. I showed up at 6:50 PM that night ready for my 7 o'clock appointment, and there were no cars in the parking lot. The doctor wasn't there and the doors were locked. I called the office several times and left a few messages. I waited 25 minutes and the doctor no showed. They never called me back. I called two days later to see what happened, and they confirmed my appointment and said in the system not only was it there, but it occurred. They said they'd get back to me and let me know what happened. They didn't. I called on Monday the following week to make sure my insurance didn't get charged. They told me they'd call me back. They didn't. Moral of the story, when something seems too good to be true...yep it probably is.
