  • I can go on for days about how amazing Derick was with putting together our wedding so I picked the 5 most important things that he made happen for me... 1) He let me be me. I never once felt like I was restricted on what I could do. Derrick worked with me %100. What ever he could do he was there to help. But being the control bride I was I wanted to do a lot of it myself. Even though I could see it was stressing him out he stepped a side and was an amazing help on what ever I asked for. That was very important to me because I only have one day, and I wanted to be as involved as I could and he allowed me to do that. 2) It was beautiful. With all the decorations and tables set up it was absolutely stunning. The sunset was perfect as well as the lighting in the trees outside and the lighting in the canopy above. 3) Everyone one loves food. So when we taste tested the food I was ecstatic to find that the food was amazing. I wanted my guests to enjoy themselves and I know that involves having some delicious meals. I highly recommend the Beef tri tip, mashed potato bar and the pasta salad. 4) Communication. There is nothing that drives me crazier then trying to get in touch with a vendor who doesn't care that youre the bride and you want everything to go smoothly. Derrick always answered the phone or got back to me. He also contacted out side vendors when they were being difficult. That took a million pounds off my shoulders. 5) The price. I am left with tons of memories but not a huge debt! With how perfect this wedding went I paid practically nothing. Black Mountain Golf Course will not break your bank and that was one of my biggest concerns. They were very flexible on payments and were willing to work with you and didn't over charge. Over all I would give this place a million stars. you will not be disappointed.
