  • Los Cafetaleros is that one place I can visit on a Friday morning, chat with the owner and son (both named Jaime), read my book and plan my schedule. The atmosphere is that I'd expect from family owned restaurant; personal, friendly, relaxed. The coffee is perfect; they know their stuff. From grinds to blends, I can describe what I am in the mood for and they can brew that perfect cup whether it be a smooth Cappuccino, a classic Americano or my favorite, a shot of Espresso. All their blends are made in-house; they are both supplier and cafĂ© so if you prefer making your own cup-of-joe at home in the mornings, pick up a bag of your favorite blend. Yet, they don't stop there. At Los Cafetaleros, treat yourself with fresh made sandwiches and amazing desserts. If you're at all like me, born without a sweet tooth and yet wanting a light desert try the Dolce de Leche pastries. For those more concerned with affordability, Los Cafetaleros is going to be your best bang for your buck with 12oz drip coffee starting at $1.75, many desserts under $2.00 and empanadas at $2.75 (plus taxes of course). For some of the best coffee in Toronto give Los Cafetaleros a try, say hi to the Jaime's and treat yourself to a Dolce de Leche pastry.
