  • Let me first say that there are some positives to living here, it's pet friendly, people actually pick up after their pets, the area is close to everything and the pool area is great. Also the maintenance staff are great- very friendly and quick to fix issues. Stephanie at the front was also friendly, but I can't say the same about all of the staff there. One of the people in the front just looks irritated majority of the time. The negatives: The bathroom in the pool area is always horrible. I'm not sure anyone keeps up with it. It got to the point of not using it while we were down there. The apartments facing Thomas Rd. BEWARE! If that's the only choice of building- DO NOT RENT. It was always and I mean ALWAYS loud. We asked about it before signing a lease and were told it's never been an issue, but we were constantly hearing beeping, sirens and especially motorcycles. Our bedroom could hear them so clearly it's like we were outside. When the weather was nice, we couldn't even have our windows open or sit outside because it was seriously that loud. Don't believe them when they say it's never been a problem. Also, these apartments are just not updated at all. The carpet, tile, and color scheme in general just look outdated. Also I don't know if it was being on the third floor or how our apartment was facing, but it was extremely hard to keep the apartment cool in the hot summer without spending hundreds on electricity. We set our A/C at 80 in the summer and our bill was still around $180 a month, which I find crazy. I didn't pay that in my five bedroom house in college, let alone an 800 square foot apartment. Also, they are not great about putting those slips in your mailbox when you get packages. They had a package my brother sent me from Japan for months and we thought it got lost in the mail. Our worst experience was move out. If you plan on bringing a pet or accidentally spilling something on the carpet I would not recommend living here. I have a 12 year old dog who has been potty trained for 11 years and who was let out literally 4-6 times a day. She is also a registered support animal. I am being honest when I say we never cleaned up a single pee spot when we lived her and go figure, there we no pee spots visible on the carpet upon move out either. HOWEVER, they pulled back the carpet and from some ghost animal I guess, there were a few "pee" spots "underneath". This complex is charging us $900 to replace all of the carpet. Not only that, they sent us an invoice of the carpet being replaced the year prior, and somehow are charging us $350 more than what that original cost was because "the apartment decided on a different carpet". They have completely screwed us financially. Let me also just say the underneath was NOT shown to us prior to move in and they never disclosed it would be pulled up at move-out. I have talked to various apartment staff including those at our new place, and no one has heard of a company doing this. If this was told, I would have 100% asked to see the bottom before moving stuff in. Regardless of what they say, I do not trust that the carpet was new. My dad who has years of experience with install even commented on the old carpet when we moved into the apartment. There was also a "spot" where our couch was- so I guess somehow our dog crawled underneath the two inch gap between the floor and couch and peed there (physically impossible). The communication about this issue has been flat and just rude in my opinion. Let me just say, we are good renters. We were quiet, we picked up after our dog and ourselves, our neighbors never complained, and all of our bills were paid on time, if not early. I'm not an idiot, I get it's a business, but I just feel scammed and I will never rent from the owners of this company again. They just want a reason to get new carpet and not pay for it themselves. I just caution you with living here- especially with pets and young children. They are not forgiving of any accidents. If you decide to live here- ask for the carpet to be pulled up before moving anything in.
