| - My son has attended The Hills Preschool and Atelier since the summer of 2013 and my daughter started this past fall. When I was first looking at schools for my son, I was surprised to discover that many places won't even return phone calls. The few tours I was able to schedule were uneventful or completely unorganized.
During my tour with Nola Enge, I was surprised to see several parents on campus since it was around 10 am. Nola spent a lot of time answering all my questions since I was not familiar with a Reggio inspired program. After understanding that this means child-led teaching, joyful classrooms, and creatively inspired projects, I was sold. When Nola walked me out she introduced me to all the "parents" who were not in fact parents at all, but were teachers and teacher assistants. I mistook them for parents because they were hugging the children, reading to them outside one-on-one, or holding little ones on their laps for snuggles.
I believe that when a child is little what they need most is love, support, guidance, the freedom to make mistakes, as well as constant growth in social awareness and being kind. The Hills Preschool has supported my children in these areas wholeheartedly!
The teachers truly love these children and are inspired by them. In addition, the parents at the Hills are a wonderfully supportive community!
