Maybe it's time for Gordy to sail off into the sunset. Had tickets to see him tonight in Las Vegas. Because of the running of a marathon down the strip we cancelled our reservations for fine dining at Sage so that we would surely make the show on time. After fighting traffic for 100 minutes, we went to the Box office and picked up our tickets 60 minutes prior to show time. Nothing was said about the show being cancelled. We found a place to order and inhale dinner. I haven't consumed a bottle of wine that fast since college! We then hustled to the showroom only to be told that the show was cancelled and were told to go back to the box office for a refund . I was dreading standing in a long line to get the refund processed, but arrived to find less than 25 people waiting. Seems to me that the show was cancelled because of the marathon and lack of interest. Lack of interest in that very few tickets had been sold, and lack of interest on Gordy's part to satisfy customers, ma y of whom, like us, had gone to great effort to see him. You have had a good run Gordy, why don't you quit while you are ahead and spare the rest of us your lack of interest.
