supposedly this is a more simpler version of the zen curry on spring mountain. I see similarities, but the katsu is soft instead of crunchy after being fried. the rice is watery. they present the curry in a narrow, bowl-like, oval plate which leaves less space for food. The sauce seeps into the rice, and I don't like so much sauce at once. It depends on you, how you prefer to eat curry. at the original zen restaurant, the plates are larger and it is much more satisfying to eat curry with. more room, less mess, and overall better presentation. love zen, don't love the zen express though :(
