| - I have always like this concept of family style with BBQ. Pork and Beans is a great place to grab some food, hungry or not hungry. They have portions that can fulfill every appetite. Don't get weirded out by pimento cheese on the menu. It was awesome. Leona's ice cream sanwiches. Mac and cheese. G_G_G_Great. (when your food comes, use everything on your tray, pickled items, meat, bread, make a sandwich add a pickle. Sidenote: the jalapenos are no joke)
We walked in on a Tuesday at around 4:30 and got a seat at the bar. The other tables are cafeteria style and you sit very close to your friendly strangers. They do have booths, if you would like your privacy. By 5:30, ON A TUESDAY, that place was bumpin, from the business men to the foodie hipsters. A super diverse crowd.
A little pricey, but worth the atmosphere and buzz.
