| - I just LOVE the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame! I think if I lived in the Cleve I would come here often... and perhaps hog up the listening stations all day long. I mean, hello one hit wonders!
It's an interesting experience going almost 8 years apart. Lots of things have changed... but considering it's a museum, you would hope they'd keep it fresh. It seems if my memory would serve me right, they've added a whole new costume exhibit. Although I have to admit I was sad to not see the TLC "No Scrubs" video costume there was a fresh batch of cool ones to look at, including some really pretty Diana Ross dresses.
I didn't remember the whole Roots of Rock n' Roll exhibit. I just love looking at the different artifacts such as letters, music notes, records, outfits, awards and many many other things. It was cool to connect with music of my era like grunge, punk and rap (Salt n' Pep jacket, what up!). I think seeing things instead of reading a whole paragraph about them engages you more no matter the age.
I also love seeing the new inductees hall of fame area and the video that they show. So many talented people should be celebrated and deserve a spot there. The one thing I wish would happen is that we'd end up coming when the special exhibits were of interest to us. Both times it wasn't anything I was interested in. Sorry U2 and Grateful Dead fans:(
Throw in a beautiful building along the riverfront and you've got a spectacular couple hours in store for you! If you're in the Cleve and are a fan of music (I mean, who isn't!?) you absolutely MUST go here, you won't regret it... there's something for everyone to connect to and that's why it rocks!
