I'd definitely go back if I am in the area. Probably wouldn't drive across town to go there.
A beautiful store, crisp minimalism decor, uncluttered and elegant. Outdoor seating area or the long table facing the window provides a great view of the Trinity Bellwoods Park across the street.
Croissants are not very buttery or flaky, a tad on the dry side. I've never gone first thing in the morning, hopefully the fresh ones are better?
Macarons are okay, once I got a really dense and cakey one and pointed out to them, they didn't offer any explanation other than "oh, that's strange" but promptly deducted it from the bill. I would have preferred thicker fillings and less sweet, but overall not bad macarons.
Cakes/tarts/tortes look very nice. Will be happy to try them when in the area again.
