| - It was crowded, but we went there as several in my community recommended it. We ordered the BLT sandwich, a cheese sandwich, and the smoked salmon bagel sandwich. In my opinion, the BLT and cheese sandwiches were artsy but bland with an uninteresting taste. The smoked salmon (smoked salmon, cream cheese, red onions, capers, tomato) bagel I didn't even try because when I peeked inside, instead of capers there were some other green thing that was chopped up. I asked about it, and was told it was chopped asparagus (not listed on the menu as being in the sandwich). I sent it back. 4-5 minutes later it came back, but this time it had capers AND chopped asparagus. I sent that back. after almost 10 minutes it came back, and the waiter said, "is this okay?" I looked inside, and this time there was no asparagus, there were capers, but there were no red onions. I sent it back. After several more minutes, the waiter came back and told me they were out of red onions (which I think they knew when they sent me the last bagel but were trying to slip it past me). At this point I just passed on it entirely, as it would not taste right without the red onions. They were friendly, offered me pastries for the inconvenience, and refunded the entire bill even though I just wanted to not pay for the bagel.. They really tried hard to make it right, which was nice and why I even gave them 2 stars.. They were very crowded, so they clearly are doing something right. I won't be back, as 'niceness' and 'trying' isn't the same as food that is accurately prepared and tastes good.
