  • I am visiting town which of course means I must find a good coffee shop to get some liquid energy. Freddie welcomed us as we came in the door into their clean, simple space with lots of natural light and open floor design. If you haven't had aeropress or wonder what it is, just get it. You won't regret it. We tried both the Ethiopia and Kenya. Roasted nicely and cupped around 12 oz, it's worth the extra buck or two to get a fresh press coffee. You'll notice that the coffee changes as it cools- in a good way. Freddie is unassuming: he won't snub you when you walk in the door but also he will talk coffee with you if you're so inclined. Free wifi LIGHTNING FAST (150 Mbps dwnld) with passcode at the coffee counter. Definitely keep this guy in business. He is supporting other local companies such as Pure Intentions roasters of Charlotte.
