  • I suppose that it's high time I update my review of The Liberty. If Yelp would just give us that half-star option, I could display the 4.5 star review that I am now giving. Since my last review I've noticed that the current bar and wait staff is considerably friendlier than it was at the time of my last review. I have had some visits where the service is slightly lacking (specifically in the main dining room), but things are definitely looking up. By far, this is my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. Is it the BEST food in Charlotte? I would not go so far as to suggest that it's far and away the best, but the menu is creative, seasonal and well priced. I have been hard pressed to find food in Charlotte that is this creative and well prepared at this price point. As always, the beer selection here is fantastic and constantly rotating. Matt certainly knows beer and does a great job getting rare, limited release brews on tap. I've had many a hazy afternoon and evening enjoying the fruits of all his hard work.
