| - My husband and I lived here for almost a year as we needed a place to live until we could buy a house as we'd just relocated from another state. This place is EXTREMELY noisy! The downstairs neighbors both smoke so the stench would waft up through both (2 bathrooms) the bathroom cabinets! If you left the bathroom doors closed for a few hours and opened them, it smelled like someone had taken a cigarette break in there! Roaches...let's talk about the roaches! They claim to spray, but I happened to be home from work the day they came in to "spray". I was in the bathroom at the time. I was in there about 5 minutes. (Maintenance didn't know I was in there). They came in, announced themselves...(I didn't answer, and the way the master bath is situated they had no clue anyone was home) and apparently put down the note that they'd come in and sprayed, BUT DIDN'T! They couldn't have done it that fast. The roaches never left. My Hubby just did it himself. Unfortunately, they just hide in the next apartment until the poison fades and then come back. It's a losing battle. Theses apartments are right next tho Papago Park and has an nice walking, biking trail around the golf course, BUT...all the tenants that are backed up to this area use it for their dogs personal toilet! We had a second story view of all these people walking their dogs and NOT picking up the feces afterwards. We'd go for daily walks and play "dodge the doodoo". Soo we finally found our dream home and had a full month to move out and clean the apartment. We have excellent credit so our deposit was only $200. but it was OUR $200. We left that place in excellent condition. The living room carpet may have needed a little cleaning near the sliding door, but that was it! We hadn't received our deposit, and it had already been several weeks after we'd vacated the premises, so my husband called and the manager told him, "Oh, you don't owe us anything, thanks". They're apparently sending out an itemized statement with how our deposit was used to clean their outdated apartment for the next victims...I mean tenants! If you rent here, you better be hearing and odor impaired, and not care if you get your deposit back! Also, if you are unfortunate enough to own a "newish" vehicle...you can kiss your doors goodbye! The tenants that live there don't care about other peoples property!
