After driving by this place a bunch of times I finally made it in for lunch this past weekend with some friends. This place seems to always be packed when I drive by in the evenings so I'm glad we went around lunch time. I started off with a flight of 3 of Mindful's own beers which included the Lime Agave, Blonde and Aunt Bethany's Fruit Cake. I usually prefer fruity or wheat beers so I really enjoyed all three. For lunch, I had the chicken nachos as an appetizer. The chicken on the nachos was really good and tasted really fresh. And the cheese sauce on top was also really good. I then had the Nashville Hot Pressure Fried Chicken for my meal. It was surprisingly not that hot (which I was okay with) and was very tasty. Again, the chicken was very fresh and not dried out at all. The Mac and cheese on the side was also pretty good. I then decided to go with the Spiked Apple Cider which was made with Maggie's Farm Rum (local Pittsburgh distillery) and it was fantastic. You can't go wrong with a drink concocted with their rum. The atmosphere was really cool and laid back when we first got there. By the time we left it was a lot more crowded but still not too loud. We had a great experience for our first time here.
