| - I visited this clinic for the first time 10 weeks ago, after I did my research online (I'm new in Vegas) and read all the good review here. I came in with pain on one of my front tooth and two other teeth.
I paid $40 for Dr. Arvin Tounian to check me. He was very nice, seemed professional and told me that I have a simple cavity in the front tooth and 2 root canals in the back teeth, and referred me to another clinic - Red Rock Endodontics (specialist in his words), to do the root canals.
I went there the same day and had to pay another $140 (Dr. Tounian waved the $40 fee I paid him in order to convince me to go see the specialist) just for the doctor there to see me.
I did the 2 root canals at Dr. Vinh-thy Nguyen at the Red Rock Endodontics ($950 each) and went back to Floss Dental to do the crowns ($800 each). I kept feeling pain in both teeth, and I've been told by Dr. Tounian to give it time.
When I kept feeling pain after 6 weeks, I went back to Red Rock Endodontics. I told Dr. Vinh-thy Nguyen that I'm having the exact same pain that I had before the treatment in both teeth, and his answer was that I need to have a surgery in my gums. It's hard for me to believe that I need to have surgery in both sides of the mouth - one at my upper right and one at my lower left, cause I'm 28 and never had trouble with my teeth before (I have only 1 root canal in my whole life!).
In between the root canals, I went back to Dr. Tounian at Floss dental to fix the cavity in my front tooth. I had a permanent retainer behind my front teeth for 9 years in order to keep my teeth straight, and before I agreed to fix the cavity, I asked Dr. Tounian if they can put the retainer back. He said that they have to cut it, but that they'll make me a new one just the same and referred me to Braces Las Vegas to see Dr. Kate. T. Nguyen. I paid another $300 for the retainer and $100 to fix the cavity.
I waited for 6 weeks(!!!) before Dr. Kate. T. Nguyen could see me, and she put the new retainer on. She did sloppy work, and only 3 weeks later my retainer fell down. I wasn't even eating, it just fell down by itself.
I went back to Dr. Tounian, who glued it back and promise me that this time it will stay forever. In real life, it lasted 3 days and the retainer fell again. Just to make it clear - I had my other retainer for 9 years without any problems.
This time Dr. Tounian referred me to another clinic - Cheyenne Dental Group. He took 2 impressions of my teeth in order to make me a new retainer, and scheduled an appointment for me to Cheyenne Dental Group.
I came to Cheyenne Dental Group the day I had my appointment, got inside to see the doctor, but she didn't knew what I was coming for. I was there for 30 minutes, while the staff tried to figure out what to do with me. They didn't had my retainer ready, and not even my teeth impressions. When the Dr. finally got inside my room, she ated all normal and said: "so, we are here today to take your impressions for a new retainer". I told her that I heard her talking to her steff in the other room and I know that they messed up with my retainer, but she denied and kept lying.
After I drove 30 miles in the middle of a work day for nothing, I asked them to refund my $300 and they did (without an apology), but now I have no retainer, and I'm still in pain!
If I had known from the beginning that after 10 weeks of teeth treatments I'll end up without a retainer, with the same pain I came with in both of my teeth and less $3500 in the bank, I would have never started the treatment with Floss Dental or any of their referrals.
