  • OK in some ways and not in others. I called my home warranty company to tell them that our pool tech told us that the filter was broken. They sent the work order to Alchemist. I requested that I receive a call before the technician went to my home in order to ensure the gate was open and the dogs were in. He called and told me thirty minutes. I left work and got a call from him five minutes later that he was already there (strike 1). That was not thirty minutes. He told me that the filter was old and obsolete so they would let the home warranty company know. I asked how long it took for them to receive a decision and he told me thirty minutes. The next afternoon I called their office to see if they had received approval to replace the filter. When Amy asked when the tech was over and I told her it was Friday morning, she literally laughed at me and said "It takes longer than this". Uhmmm, okay (strike 2). She told me the order would be submitted. Whatever. I waited a couple of days and then called back. Amy answered again I told her why I was calling and she said with another annoying laugh "you know more than I do". Again, whatever. I emailed the home warranty company and they called back to let me know that they had approved the work order. I was called to schedule and was told that I would be the first call. They didn't show up until close to noon. The filter is new and seems to work. I will not call them again for anything and I've let my home warranty company know not to dispatch them to my house for any future repairs. The office staff is overworked or rude, or both. Customer service is severely lacking. I've never been laughed at by a customer service rep and it won't happen again.
