  • El Cortez Casino is not bad. 17 years ago the only two casinos that I did business with was El Cortez and Jackie Gaughn Plaza. I won at both and stayed at both. Ironically today these are my best two casinos on Fremont. Honestly my most winningest casino in Las Vegas out of four years that I lived here is indisputably El Cortez. I am knit picky with cocktail waitresses refusing to bring me a drink cause they feel I am not playing enough to get a drink which is the reason for 4 out 5 stars review. I would never give a casino a 5 star review if they consistingly? hassle me on courtesy drinks while I am playing in their establishment.
