| - Oh how excited I was to see a brand new Ulta open up in good old Hendertucky!
I have shopped at this location a few times now, and overall I think this store is A-OK but with a little more training and focus on customer service it could be so much better! Sadly it seems like the attention to service has declined since the store first opened.
But first, let's start with the good:
Being a brand new store, almost everything is fully stocked.
Most, if not all of the products have fresh, new samples.
Employees on the floor are pretty eager to help. Some are almost too eager.
What is really lacking here is customer service and training when it comes to check out.
On almost every visit, I have had some sort of problem with regard to paying for my items. Either the product itself or the special 'grand opening' coupons wouldn't ring in, requiring manager assistance. Understandable with a newer store, but still slightly annoying.
On my most recent visit there was one employee ringing up one customer when I got in line. There was some sort of issue with the transaction, which apparently required 4 different employees to all hover around one cash register. The line of people waiting to make purchases had grown from 2 to 6. The perfect time to open another register or even acknowledge those waiting.. but instead the three additional employees just wandered off... I am almost certain one of them had to be a manager, and I am certain that a simple 'Thank you for your patience' would have gone a long way.
I will continue to shop at this Ulta due to it's proximity to home, and hope to be able to update this review in the future to say that the customer service has improved.
