  • Enjoyability - 3.75/5 Lots of ups and lots of downs with this place. It takes awhile to get oriented (the resort is sprawling), but once you do, nothing is too far away. The rooms are nice, but a little old. The bathrooms are small. I expected a bit more for the price. The staff was nice, but seemed disoriented (it took me many attempts to find out how to sign my son up for their kids club activities and to order room service. The extensions on the phone were wrong!). That said, they do have reasonably priced activities for kids (which gives parents some much needed personal time). And the bed is very comfortable. The huge highlight are the pools. They have one main pool that has an impressive lazy river (it even drifts past an old "wild west" town) that you can bring drinks on. There is also a party pool there (with a volleyball net) and a waterslide for kids of almost all ages. There are other pools throughout the resort and they are really good too. They have dive in bars and poolside food (plus two kids pools at the one I went to that were connected to the main pool). The lowlight was the restaurant. We went to a BBQ joint outside the main pool area and it just was bland. The service was slow (despite a relatively calm night) and the wings were more fat than meat. We skipped the ice cream shop as it just sold ice cream you can buy at the grocery store.
